Let me give you a little life update… because this one feels important.

I’ve been working on my book.

And when I say “working on it,” I mean… starting it, stopping it, avoiding it, circling back to it, questioning everything, rinse, wash, repeat. Over and over again. Every time I tried to write it before, something felt… off. Like I was forcing something that wasn’t ready to come through yet.

But I always knew—this is something I have to do.

So this time… I just started.

And in starting, something clicked.

I realized I’ve been trying to tell this story from only my perspective… without fully understanding the depth of where I come from. My culture. My history. My roots. The people before me.

And that’s when it hit me:

This isn’t just my story.

This is a story that’s been waiting for a voice.

And somehow… I’m the one meant to tell it.

So I asked.

Not casually. Not halfway.

I asked—Source, God, Universe, whatever name you resonate with—I asked for help. I asked to be guided. I asked for the right people to come into my life to help me understand myself on a deeper level… to understand my Filipino culture, my lineage, my history in a way I never have before.

And let me tell you…

When I really asked?

They showed up.

And honestly… it’s been hilarious 😂

Because looking back, the Universe had already been placing Filipinos in my path for a while, and I’m over here like, “Okay but why though??” Completely missing it.

But the moment I got clear… the moment I said, “Hey—I’m human. If you want me to get it, you’re gonna have to make it obvious.”

BOOM.

I’m at the park, and this beautiful Filipino woman comes up to me. We start talking, realize we’re both Filipino, and she lights up. We connect. Our kids are around the same age. And in that moment, I just knew.

There it is.

You asked… here it is.

And that’s the thing I want you to take from this:

Stop asking halfway.

Stop doubting what you’re asking for.

Stop thinking you have to figure it all out on your own first.

Ask. Clearly. Fully. Boldly.

And then pay attention… because the answers might not come how you expect—but they will come.

“If you ask, they will come.”

And when they do… don’t question it.
